I was born in London but we moved away when I was three and I grew up in the countryside. I have always lived in the country, apart from when I was abroad.
I currently live in a 1920’s house with a large garden, which I tend to ignore until the weeds prevent us from getting out the front door.
We have a natural pond in the garden and the moorhens nest there every year. We have had wild ducks land on us. One pair were a nuisance when they would insist on waking us up at six every morning by quacking at the back door for our stale bread. Feeding ducks is a mistake we won’t make again!
I write most days, although I do not have a set routine but if I can’t get to my desk I do get a bit fretful. I write upstairs in a room crammed with spare bed linen, the cleaner, and a couple of filing cabinets choc a block with files which one day I will clear out.
For relaxation I like cooking and yoga.
I am a member of the Romantic Novelists’ Association and the West Sussex Writers’ Club both of whom have been invaluable in my quest to be published. I am also on the Council of the Society of Writers and Journalists and responsible for Competitions.
